Shhhh, Exigence is sleeping.

Thursday, April 27th, 2006

Well, instead of our planned BWL run last night, we had a stroke of luck and had all four nightmare dragons up while all the other uber guilds seemed to be either asleep or otherwise occupied.

Final Score?
Crux: 3, Dragons: 1

AQ40 – The Final Frontier

It’s been a fantastic week guys – lets recap:

One Shot Nef – tick.
Finally kick Ossirian’s Egyptian looking arse – tick.

Great work guys =)

Day 5 – Still no sign of land.

Friday, April 21st, 2006

Dear Nef, word on the street was you were a big bad nasty boss man dragon… or something.

Well we cleared to you on the first day, had a shot to see which pimps you were running this week. And then we went to bed.

Today we wandered in, all un concerned and ready to roll. And you went down first attempt.

I’m embarressed for you Nef. Really, I am.

Hugs and Kisses to Deathwing.

Day 4, Crux vs. Some Dragon We Pwned.

Wednesday, April 19th, 2006

Dear Nef, thanks for the lewts. (Mieky says hi)

See you next week.

Love love Crux.

PS. I told them to come to the head for a screenshot, but they wouldn’t listen. Apparently my corpse was bugged. But until someone provides me with something that isn’t a screenshot showing a bunch of guys hanging around Nef’s arse, we’re going to ego trip with a dorf – oh yeah.

Klinar solo kited Nef. There may have been a hunter involved, I'm not sure...

Day 3, Crux vs Nef

Tuesday, April 18th, 2006

Well honestly, I don’t know what they think they were doing. I was sitting outside because we had too many pallies and not enough priests… how they thought they could win without me (and more importantly, my Arcanite Dragonling is beyond me.

Nef @ 19%

Allegedly they now have a super fly strat to take care of the particular colour combination we have been dealt this week and were making some steady progress.

Hopefully tonight will bring an end to his tyranny once and for all (well until the instance resets later tonight).

Day 2, Crux vs Nefarian

Wednesday, April 12th, 2006

Well I wasn’t there. So of course Crux wasn’t going to win, but still the poor fools made some attempts. (We did pretty well yesterday) And in fact they got the big drake down to 36% I hear a lot of talk of 35%, but no screen shots have been forthcoming. Blizzard don’t appreciate Crux’s rapid progression, so they gave us some early maintenance to cut our plans short.

Nef at 36%

I’m sure a couple of people are disappointed about this, so I have prepared this unicorn chaser:

GM over all.
Additional from Manduned:

Does anyone still doubt that Nefarian is incarnate and working as a Blizzard employee?  Lets examine shall we?

1. 3/4 of the Raid gets disconnected while pwning Chromy at 50%

2. On our next attempt, we kill Chromy only to find ML is broken

3. After demonstrating to Nefarian that his defeat is inevitable on Monday, maintenance is mysteriously scheduled an hour early

4. 1 hour before we’re due to form, the login server is broken.

These points surely confirm that Nefarian works as an IT techy in the Blizzard server vaults.

Anyway, for those that missed it, here’s a run down of how the fight went last night:

26 mins till server restart.  Nefarian decides to grace us with his presence again.  Final buffs, move to position.  25 mins to server restart. “Let the games begin”.  Ye let the gates of hell open and their clensing fires purge – thus spake the mighty warlocks.  DPS opened their collective cans of arse whoopage, calls for AoE abounded – Thunderbirds were GO.  15 mins to server restart.  Nefarian tires of spamming us with shadow bolts and lands in his mighty dragon form.  Three kin left in the north, six in the south.  They go down quickly.  Bresane is alive, everyone is in position, only one person is dead – all is well.  The mighty Crux machines gears begin to grind and Nefarians health steadily heads in the downwards direction.  Class calls, mages polymorph, I am a giraffe, all is well.  11 mins till server reset.  Nefarian is at 75%.  Heart begins pounding in chest. 8 mins to server reset.  Nefarian is at 55%.  Only losses so far have been rogues – bummer. 6 mins to server reset.  Nefarian is at 38%.  Bresanne gets pretty much one shotted during a warrior call and Nefarian proceeds to eat the rest of the raid.  Those left standing manage to further reduce his health to 35% before the last deathcry echoes over the balcony and across Searing Gorge.

What can I say guys.  To sit back and think that this is only our second night of attempts at this guy!  Brilliant work – I’m certain if the server had given us an extra hour Nefarians head would be swinging from the gates of Stormwind – it’ll definitely be there next week!

Day 1, Crux vs. Nefarian

Tuesday, April 11th, 2006

Last night was our first run of Nefarian attempts, and we managed to get through to stage two a good 80% of the time.  We even got through to stage two on our SECOND attempt with very few losses – but unfortunately at that stage few of us had any idea of what to expect when he landed.  So, we’ve got stage one sorted, now to wtfbbqpwn him in stage two!!

Crux over Chromy

Crux downs Chromy!

Monday, April 10th, 2006

Dispite Blizzard’s best efforts to stop us (disconnecting everyone at 50%, I mean, come on, play fair) we down’d Chromaggus last night.  We were pretty fortunate with breaths (frost and acid), and got him down in about 25 mins.  Blizzard had the last laugh though, as our master loot was broken!  Here’s hoping a friendly GM gets it sorted for us.

Afterwards we went to play with Nefarian – had one eventful wipe to get everyone familiar with the fight.  Tonight we get to see just how uber we are =)
